Garden Path Gate Lighting
This homeowner wanted to illuminate a walkway and gate access to the back yard so it could be easily seen from the driveway, house and road for security reasons. We used bright lights on the gate walk-through area, directing the light specifically to the access area so as not to disrupt areas inside the residence. We added some lesser lights to the garden wall to make it visible but not bright. This lighting solution discourages unwanted traffic without being obnoxiously bright.
Illuminated Walk Way
These walk ways were dark, slippery when wet and dangerous. Using elevated and ground-level lighting, we were able to keep the atmosphere of seclusion while still making the walk ways well lit and safe. With the new lighting, residents can readily see if the walk ways are wet. This light system was put on a timer to discourage late night traffic. Adding texture to the concrete surface will further enhance the safety of these walk ways.
Landscape Feature Lights
Many properties benefit from lights that are non-specific but reduce dark areas without causing over-lighting or spot-lighting that can be bothersome for residents or nearby properties. Non-specific landscape lighting not only provides enhanced aesthetic appeal but it improves security and visibility. Landscape lighting is one of the most popular ad cost-effective ways to increase property appearance and safety after sundown. Lighting systems can be timed, photo-sensitive (dusk to dawn) or motion sensitive.
